Peek-a-Boo Pattern Shop Seaside Scallop Shorts

I was really excited over the weekend to get an e-mail from Amy at Peek-a-Boo Pattern Shop saying I had been selected to do a second round test of her new shorts pattern released TODAY.Front shorts only

Side shorts only

With it’s piped pocket detail and scalloped leg edge these shorts are definitely a great pattern for those looking to add something a little different to their daughter’s wardrobe this Summer.  These details do add to the time taken to sew the shorts but don’t great increase their difficulty.  As always Amy’s clearly written and photographs guide you through the process ensuring a successful result, she even includes some handy hints on how to get the best curve on your scalloped edge.

The pattern prints and is taped together without difficultly, this is standard with Amy’s patterns and definitely a reason her patterns are so popular amongst the Children’s PDF pattern sewing community.

I sewed up the 18month size for the Gingerbear Princess and they are a great fit and should fit her into next season.  Though as I discovered yesterday they may well transition into Autumn/Winter as the Princess got a bit cold in one of our 3 (yes 3!) attempts to get photos so she put on some tights and boots.  Pretty well put together don’t you think?

Pretty cute I say, making these a most versatile pair of shorts for those of us with mild Autumn (or even winter) months.

The pattern is released today (Thursday night NZ Time) and is on sale here for the day with 15% off no code required.
